What’s Up Nails Essentials Review

Hello!

Today I’m sharing with you my review of the Essentials Bundle from What’s Up Beauty 😊

I have a good relationship with What’s Up Beauty but I will give my honest review as per usual. 😊 Just a quick heads up that this will be a word-heavy post 😁

Starting off, their Essentials Bundle consists of 3 products: Hideaway, Come on Strong, and Gloss Over. I’ll review each below.

First up is the Hideaway Ridge Filler Base Coat:

Perfectly formulated to instantly smooth out your ridges and hide imperfections while nourishing your nails. Hideaway Ridge Filler contains Vitamin C and E which brighten and protect your nails to help them revitalize. Use in a single layer as a priming base coat for any nail polish or apply a second coat and wear alone. With a natural light satin pink finish you will provide your nails a fresh healthy glow while giving them the vitamins they crave.

I love the colour to this one – I think it’s so pretty and so easy for everyone to wear. My pictures show 1 coat. My nails aren’t awfully ridged because I do lightly buff my nails once in a while as part of my nail care routine but I thought it did a nice job providing a pretty smooth surface to work on.

Next is their Come On Strong Nail Treatment

A rejuvenating formula designed to provide beneficial vitamins and hardeners directly to your nail in a base coat application. This product is packed with both Vitamin C and B5 to nourish and hydrate nails, with three Alpha Hydroxy Acids to restore and harden. Wear in one of two ways, first as a repairing clear coat by applying two layers with no polish. Second, as a priming base coat by applying one layer before any polish. Reapply every three days until your nail strength has improved, results should be noticeable within a week.

I don’t typically wear nail treatments as I exclusively wear peel-off base coats because of how often I do my nails. They are also already quite strong as I’ve had a nail care routine for quite a long time now, but I wanted to take a moment to call this out only because I know of a lot of people who are looking to add a strengthener to their routine. I do think What’s Up has really great products so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this one turns out to work really well but I think with hardeners, you just have to make sure to only use them as needed. Strength doesn’t always mean flexibility so you don’t want nails that will snap, just nails that are strong with some bend in them.

Let me know anyway in the comments if you have tried this product – I’d love to know your thoughts! 😊

And the 3rd and final item in this bundle is the Gloss Over Fast Dry Top Coat

A crystal clear finish top coat specially formulated to dry fast, prevent chips and lock in color for glossy long lasting manicures. Made without nitrocellulose to improve both hardness and drying speed, this product also contains anti-yellowing properties. Nails will be dry in moments and you’ll be left with a smooth, even and strong protective layer. Apply one coat over dry to the touch polish and don’t forget to seal the free edge for a longer lasting effect.

This one I absolutely tried and thought it worked really well. Dried to the touch in less than 5 minutes but like with all quick dry top coats, I always give it a good 15-20 mins for it to really set. It did provide a pretty glossy finish and I didn’t experience any shrinking. Some top coats are really runny and others are a bit thicker but this one glided on smoothy and ended up feeling more like a thicker top coat once dried. It gave it more of a gel-like smooth finish; and didn’t pick up any of the underlying polish which is always good. 😊

In case anyone was wondering, the pink polish is What’s Up’s Desert Rose. One of my absolute favourite polishes from them 😍

Well that’s all for today!

As always, thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner 😊 Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.
