Easy Christmas Tree Dotted Nail Art

Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!! (for all those who celebrate 😁)

Today I have to share with you my final mani for Christmas week 2021 that I've been doing. It's a really simplistic Christmas tree design that I absolutely adore! I've seen variations of these trees everywhere and I just HAD to do my own version of it.

Since I've been doing all of these really colourful designs, I figured I would bring it back to a classy palette for my last Christmas design of 2021.

I envy those who's whole IG is just nail art over a pinky gel base because I don't think I could ever get away with that 😅 But they are who have inspired me for this classy mani. I just love the base for this design so much! 😍

The design is quite easy to re-create:

1. Once your base polish is dry, use a medium length line brush to create the green branches of your tree; I made the bottom line (the longest line) first and then went up from there; don't put them too close together and always use less polish than more because you can always go back in and darken/thicken the line if needed; clean your brush as you go so there aren't any unwanted clumps

2. Place blobs of the coloured polishes that you'll use for your ornaments (one at a time) onto your mixing plate (or nail art mat or plastic sheet etc) and use the dotting tool to make the various sized of dots around the green lines; make sure you pick a large and small size and then make some in between as well (how much polish and the pressure of the dotting will determine your sizes; the lighter the touch, the smaller the dots. Also, you never want to actually touch the base colour with your dotting took as that can lead to an unfinished looking dot)

3. Add dots until you're happy with the design

4. Top with a star of your chose (I added a silver holographic star glitter)

5. Top coat to seal in your design

I actually have some holiday parties/get togethers to attend this season so I might have to redo this nail art for at least one of the parties. 😁 I'm not ambidextrous at all but this might be easy enough to do on both hands! Or I can make it on a jelly stamper and stamp it onto my nails. We'll see! Follow me on Instagram if you want to see if I end up doing that as I normally share random things in my stories.

Here is what I used:

Base coat: Yellow Stopper
Static Nails - Fetish
Lollipolish - Lady in Red, Empire, Frozen, Green Light
Zoya* - Aurora
Star glitter, line brush, dotting tools & wax pencil for glitter placement  - Amazon*
I didn't do a top coat for this design as I couldn't keep it on but if I had kept it on I would have used my trusty Seche Vite* top coat.

Well that's all for today! I really love this design!
