China Glaze Blobbicure Nail Art & Video Tutorial

Hello!

I have a cute blobbicure to share with you today! 😊

I haven't done one of these in forever so I'm happy I finally got a chance to do one! I have 2 sets of pictures to show you, one without the Fairy Dust and one with 😁 - you can tell me in the comments which one you like better. I personally love them BOTH 😆

I used polishes from China Glaze's 2021 Cali Dreams Collection, you can find the swatches I did for the 3 polishes here.

This technique requires that you work pretty quickly with wet polish but it's a fairly simple design. What I normally do is put down my first polish coat, let that fully dry, and then when I go to do the blobbicures, I do a thick second coat, and while it's still wet, I gently touch the brush of the other polishes onto the wet second coat to form the blobs. They spread out so make sure you are using a lighter touch so you don't put too much on. You can always go in a little heavier later but I would recommend you start very lightly until you get the hang of it. I do 1 nail at a time as you don't want the polishes to dry before layering on the other polishes. Doing all polishes at once will help to create the smooth blobs. 😊

If you are unsure of how to approach it, you can always practice on a plastic sheet (cling wrap or a sandwhich bag usually works well) first until you get the hang of it before doing it on your actual nail. But I would say just go for it! Nail art is about experimenting and everyone has nail fails, I still do all the time. 😅

The next 2 pictures are with the holo glitters (Fairy Dust) What do you think?

Here are the polishes I used along with Fairy Dust by China Glaze and top coat by SuperChic Lacquer's Marvel Liquid Macro

And here is my YouTube video with the tutorial on how I did these nails at the end.

Well that's all for me today! If you have questions about this post, please make sure to ask me in the comments and I will be sure to respond! 😊

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner 😊 Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.
