Butterfly Stamping Nail Art With Konad Supplies

First stamping attempt!

Kind of love these! My first attempt at stamping nail art! I think it turned out really well if you don't look too closely. ;) They took me quite a while to do. When you see videos, people are just working like they are pros, so when I got it, I thought it'd be really easy. Boy, was I wrong. Definitely a lot of trial and error for me. Sometimes you have to do things horribly wrong before doing them right. I think that's life in general too.

But anyway, the best method is to roll the polish onto your stamp, in case anyone cared to know lol. Other than that, it's pretty simple... Well, if you were going for random butterfly placing like I did here. If you are trying to place a precise image at the right angle every time, I'm sure that'd be a whole other ball game. I will try that too though eventually, just don't judge too harshly. :)

The base I used, the silver, is Worth the Risque from Color Club. It's so nice, more of a scattered holo but still really nice, I didn't get any of the holos in these pictures since I was trying to really get the butterflies to show up well.

Other than the black, the colours I used to stamp with actually came from Super Chic Lacquer. I used colours from her Dreamology collection - find the full post of those colours here. They stamped so well :D Any missing spots was actually my fault, not the fault of the polish or the stamping plate or the stamper.

I used the Konad double stamper and Konad image plate m36-1 for the butterflies. I bought all the stamping stuff myself by the way lol. I hope you like the design though! I am kind of proud of it, I'll be doing a lot more stamping from now on. I have 1 other plate from Konad and some random massive plates too that I'm going to try so I hope you guys like stamping! :)

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner :) Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.

  1. These look lovely and you took on quite an advance stamping challenge with multiple colours and layers! Stamping is my favourite technique, so I know what you mean about needing to practice (LOL) but I really wouldn't have known this was your first attempt. :)
