4th? 5th (maybe) time's a charm!
Yes, I've done about 4 different designs and none have been quite right for the stained glass that I was looking for... until this one! I have a thing for colourful manis - I just love them! They make me smile so I love every opportunity to create manis using lots of colours.
So these are my stained glass nails under our jewel toned challenge for #wnac2015 and I quite adore them. Jacinta from Powder Perfect had sent me her appropriately named Stained Glass Collection so I could give them a try and I love them! The colours were bright and vivid, especially over a holo silver like I had here and they blended really well to create gorgeous colours.
For the base of my design, I layered a flakie polish over 2 coats of the holo and then dabbed oddly shaped dots between the black stripes. I topped coated everything and waited for the design to dry before hand drawing in the circles in black acrylic paint.
Holo silver base: KB Shimmer (Harlow and Co) - Alloy Matey
Iridescent flakies: Emily de Molly (Color4Nails) - Fancy Sauce
All coloured nail polish: Powder Perfect
Black acrylic paint
Brush: 18/0 Loew-Cornell 7000 Round
I hand pained all the lines and filled in each circle with colour for my accent nail.
Here is a quick video of the design.
I hope you liked my hand-drawn design! :)
