It's that time of the week again....!!
So I've known Cristine over at www.simplynailogical.com for a little over a year now and she never fails to make me laugh. She's truly a crazy, awesome friend and I'm so happy to have gotten to know her and participate in some randomness with her.
We hadn't done a bestie twin nails in a while and so we decided to finally get on that and do one; unfortunately it was for our negative space prompt under our gradient theme for the WNAC that we co-host along with Kristin, and we both decided to do a different version of negative space lol
When we do stuff together, these things tend to happen - we kind of just outside the box - pretty much all the time. But, we usually get to do some really fun designs together and she never ceases to surprise me with her random ideas. So below is what we ended up doing: a kind of fishnety (yes it's now a word lol) sexy looking gradient ;)
I started off with a home-made sheer base using a black holo and some top coat I had lying around. Drop in a bit of nail polish thinner to get rid of the streaks and you're good to go! Below is 1 coat of my home-made sheer black - I like it a lot :D
I then used my trusty liquid latex to get ready for my gradient. My index finger is not yet dry, but my pinky is. I didn't take pictures of this step but I then cut out long thin triangles made of tape to block off the gradient so I could have the sheer peeking through for the criss crosses. Once the latex fully dried, I sponged on my glittery gradient.
After the gradient, I added my Super Chic Lacquer quick drying top coat and then went on to draw the black lines with acrylic paint. I then applied a second layer of top coat and then was done! :)

I hope you like them!
