I'm loving the triple coloured gradients!
I never thought my nails would be long enough to make a triple gradient look nice - I envy those who can do 4+ colours, they always look so good!
I would like my gradients to be a lot smoother but it's fun to try different colours and see how they come out. If you follow me on any of my social media, you know I'm not very good at planning my nail arts - they just happen. I sit, I look at my collection of polishes, and then I start picking ones that I think will look interesting together and then I do it. Especially for gradients. I still like using 2 colours, but I've been experimenting with 3 and I find it a bit more tricky to try and get them all smoothly transitioned into the next colour. Tip though, using a glitter topper always helps to make it look smoother ;)
I never do gradients without my Color4Nails Crystalline Nail Veil since the clean up is such a breeze with it. This is why I shied away from it so much before I got the liquid latex - I hate cleaning up those messes lol
|I use Fairy Dust A LOT lol- especially over my gradients - so sparkly!|
It's important to do a few coats of polish to get it smooth - and to use the glitter topper while the gradient is still wet being careful not to smudge it. I then quickly go over everything with my top coat after about 20 seconds or so, again, being careful not to smudge everything. That's probably just my impatient self :)
I'm starting to love gradients and if you shied away from it in the past like I did, practice really is the key :) And some makeup sponges - those are important for doing your gradients as well.
I love the colour combo - it's so different!
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner :) Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.
