WNAC - Pastel Chevrons

It's FRIDAY! ... In some part of the world I'm sure :D Time for some weekly nail art because OMG, who even has time?! *Insert crying face*

I actual didn't know how much I liked this design until it kind of grew on me. And, I'm starting to really love gradients so watch out world! Gradients GALORE coming through! (Well, eventually :p)

This week's prompt was chevron under our pastel theme. I'm not a big fan of nail vinyls, mostly because I use a peel off base and so most of the time it peels my base off too BUT, I prevailed! (This time anyway lol)

So here is what I did to get my very simple design:
1. Used one coat of pink on all my nails over my dried peel off base
2. Protected my cuticles and surrounding fingers with liquid latex
3. Did the pink to purple gradient using a sponge
4. Went over it with a holo topper
5. Top coat

I kind of really love this shot - so sppaarrrkkllyyyy (no flash)

With flash! (Can you tell if I didn't tell you?)

Close up so nice <3 (no flash)

6. Placed chevron vinyls once my nail were fully dry {2 on my ring finger lining up the points and 1 vinyl on each of the other nails right down the middle}
7. Painted the whole nail on my ring finger and half the nail on each of the other fingers
8. Quickly remove each nail vinyl
9. Top coat
10. Done! :D

Looks like water waves right?! :D

Yay! I don't know how often I say that I truly like a design, but I actually love how the boldness of the navy offsets the soft ethereal feel of the sparkly gradient - perhaps it's just me? :D

That's all I got! I hope you guys like it! :)

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner :) Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.
