WNAC - April 2015 Round Up

Time for the April 2015 WNAC Round Up

For those who don't know, my two friends (Krisin of lacquerstyle.com and Cristine of simplynailogical.com) and I run a weekly nail art challenge on Instagram based on a monthly theme. We started this back in October 2014 and we've seen a lot of success with it and of course, a lot of magnificent manis.

I also run the feature page (WNAC_TKC) where I get to feature some of the beautiful manis from our fellow nail artists doing these challenges with us. Anyone can join in at any time, do as many or as little as they'd like, give their ideas and suggestions, and you only post once a week - on Fridays - so it's not too intensive.

One of the things I love most about our challenges is the fact that I get to try a lot of new techniques and step out of my comfort zone a lot to try and grow myself as a nail artist; although I don't technically consider myself an "artist", more of an enthusiast. :)

I do really push myself to do each and every challenge no matter how hard or difficult they are (ahem, Ikat...) - I think it's important for me to be a part of something I helped create.

But I think the most satisfying thing about this whole thing is seeing how much it's grown, and how positive the energy is around it. The internet can be such a negative place but WNAC is meant to bring people who enjoy nail art together, and give the positive feedback and support so that others who enjoy it can build confidence in themselves and each other. I think the nail art community is really wonderful and WNAC has shown me a lot of hidden gem nail artists who's art I wouldn't be able to enjoy if not for this challenge. :)

I think next month I'll do the round up a little differently but I just really wanted to share my thoughts on our WNAC since I haven't yet:)

So April is really almost over - I actually had no idea if I'd like the pastel theme but I actually ended up really loving it - you never know how something will surprise you until you try it! :)

Anyone who followers WNAC_TKC has already seen May's post but here it is!

Anyone can join in and you only need to incorporate one element of neon for it to count as a WNAC post for May, just make sure to use the #wnac2015 tag so we can all find it and look at your beautiful creations. :D

That's all I got for today!

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to check out my little corner :) Feel free to leave me comments/suggestions/feedback below.
