WNAC - Holo Monochromatic

Time for another WNAC! This week is monochromatic under our holo theme - Uh, seaweed like no?! :D

I wanted to free hand something - which may have been a little rambunctious on my part but HEY, I like to live on the edge and try new and odd things!

Those who know me and have followed me for a while on Instagram, know that this isn't my normal style. Sometimes I like to step out of the box, take a look around, see if I can incorporate something different into my art, and I think this time, I succeeded. :)

Along with some black acrylic paint and a striping brush (not pictured because I'm still trying to get use to taking pictures of EVERYTHING lol - sorry!) to create my accent nail, I used 4 green polishes - with just their brushes - to create my design.

Clockwise L to R: Canvas Lacquer, piCture pOlish, Pretty Serious Cosmetics, FUN Lacquer

Canvas Lacquer: Allan Gardens Affair
Pretty Serious Cosmetics: The Dragon's Curse
FUN Lacquer: C'est Noel (H)
Top Coat: Super Chic Lacquer - Marvel Liquid Macro
(Use code for 10% off: SUPERCHICFAN0415MBT)

I just used the brush attached to the polishes to carefully make the seaweed like tendrils (is that a good word?? I have no idea! lol) over the C'est Noel (H) base. It was really easy to do but took some patience since I wanted to leave some space in between each green strip to allow for the holo base to come through. They were actually really cool in person. :)

Up close and personal

I think we should never be afraid to try new things, or be afraid that people will be negative towards it. If you create it, and you like it, don't let others' negativity make you believe your work isn't as good or as beautiful as you believe it is. <3
